Forest City Swing is a non-profit organization focused on the community to provide fun and family-oriented entertainment. We invite anyone who would like to learn to swing dance to our Thursday night events. We meet at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church gymn 2001 N. Alpine Rd in Rockford each Thursday night. Weekly Swing Dancing Lessons

We offer 45 minute Lindy Hop lessons each week just prior to our swing dancing. We invite anyone who would like to learn to swing dance to our Thursday night events. People of all ages are welcome. Lessons are offered from 8:00pm-8:45 pm with swing dancing to follow from 8:45 pm-10:30pm. Admission to $3.00 at the door. All the admission goes toward paying the building rental, swing parties, our annual Swing Out Rockford event. We offer a variety of swing dancing workshops, providing opportunity to learn new dances and techniques. Each year Forest City Swing offers beginner/intermediate 6-count swing and/or Lindy Hop workshops. We recommend these workshops for those who really want to learn and improve their dancing.
